Short and compact but achieving just as much throughput as a larger truck. This would be an apt description of the new ERE 120 from Jungheinrich. The pedestrian pallet truck with stand-on platform combines "large" and "small" in a one truck. The little sprinter is well able to keep up with larger truck types on short and medium distances, but only consumes as much - or rather as little - energy as comparable trucks in the small 1 range. Due to its powerful acceleration, the ERE 120 can be an alternative to larger trucks. Its narrow dimensions (width = 700 mm) make this truck even more manoeuvrable.
Flexible application: Suitable for every application
The truck is designed for flexible application as pedestrian or ride-on truck. As the stand-on platform and side guards are easily folded up or down, the new ERE 120 is adaptable for any application - for example, for loading and offloading lorries. Owing to its considerably higher speed of up to 8.5 km/h compared with purely pedestrian trucks, throughput is very efficient and goods can be transported economically over comparably longer distances.
Compared with the previous model and apart from the increased comfort, the longer stand-on platform (461 mm) also provides additional safety. Once the driver leaves the platform, it does not fold up automatically in order to avoid injury. However, a simple nudge with the foot is all that is required for the platform to slide back into its pedestrian position. The rounded contours of the platform and the side guards reduce the danger of "getting caught" on obstacles such as racking.
"ShockProtect": Protection for operator, truck and load
Jungheinrich "ShockProtect", a patented new Jungheinrich development is used on the ERE 120. Just like a shock absorber on a motor car, the system absorbs virtually all shocks caused by bumps and other uneven floor conditions. A cushioned drive as well as support wheels cushioned with ProTracLink ensure actual protection for operator, truck and load. ProTracLink is a system that ensures excellent lateral stability also on corners despite high speeds. One of the features that make the new ERE 120 significantly more robust is that the side arms are connected to the chassis and not to the front cover.
